US Dollar Notes to Carry Trump Signature First Time in history

 On March 26, 2026 , The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced on Thursday, that Donald Trump’s signature will be featured on new dollar bills to commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence ,For the first time in history, a sitting U.S. president’s signature will appear on federal paper currency..

Impact of Trump Signature

1. This move ends a 165-year tradition established in 1861, where only the signatures of Treasury officials appeared on banknotes.
2. Trump’s signature will replace the signature of the U.S. Treasurer, currently Brandon Beach. It will appear alongside the signature of Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent
3. The first batch of redesigned $100 bills bearing the new signatures is scheduled for printing in June 2026, with other denominations to follow in subsequent months.
4.  The change is part of broader “semiquincentennial” that is 250th anniversary celebrations. Treasury Secretary Bessent stated the move recognizes the “historic achievements” of the country and the president.
