Purpose and Reason of Test

1. The launch served as an “operational efficiency test” to evaluate the ship’s integrated weapons command system, train the crew on launch procedures & verify the accuracy and anti-jamming performance of upgraded navigation systems..
2. Act in Both Field such as Strategic Cruise Missiles having Flew for approximately 7,869 to 7,920 seconds  which is over two hours, along preset orbits and as Anti-Ship Missiles,  Flew for approximately 1,960 to 1,973 seconds  which is roughly 30 minutes.
3. the missiles hit their intended targets with “ultra-precision hit accuracy“.
4. The use of the term “strategic” typically indicates that the weapons are designed to carry tactical nuclear warheads. Kim Jong Un noted that the naval nuclear arming process is making “satisfactory progress”..

About The Destroyer: Choe Hyon

The Choe Hyon is the lead ship of a new class of 5,000-ton destroyers unveiled in April 2025 as part of a modernization plan to expand North Korea’s surface fleet.

1. Analysts estimate the ship features a vertical launch system (VLS) with up to 88 cells, plus additional inclined launchers, totaling a potential capacity of 104 missiles.
2.  At least two more destroyers of the same class are currently under construction at the Nampho and Hambuk shipyards.
3. Kim has ordered these future vessels to replace traditional automatic cannons with supersonic weapons systems to maximize long range strike capacity
4. This recent test follows a previous round of strategic cruise missile trials conducted on the same vessel in March 2026..
