1. The Navy has already safely guided several high-priority vessels through the volatile chokepoint. Valuable ships include the LPG carriers Pine Gas and Jag Vasant , which are expected to reach Indian ports by March 26 to 27 march 2026 ..
2. Over five frontline warships, including destroyers and frigates, have been deployed to provide physical escorts and navigational support
3. Unlike some international missions, this is an independent Indian operation. Reports indicate it followed a diplomatic understanding where India-flagged vessels are verified in Iranian waters before being taken over by Indian naval escorts in the Gulf of Oman
4. Due to reports of underwater mines, the Navy is using detailed hydrographic charts to guide ships through specifically mapped safe routes

Current Status of Mission

1.  At least 22 India-bound vessels , including 20 high-priority energy tankers , were initially identified for protected transit.
2. No incidents involving Indian ships or seafarers have been reported since the operation began, contrasting with earlier reports of attacks in the region as of 27 march 2027
3. The mission is described as “calibrated precision with minimal publicity” to ensure continuous, uninterrupted supply chains for Indian households and industries
