- Total 17,561 cybercrimes registered in Bengluru itself
- Share of Metro Crime Contributes over 50% of total crimes in 19 major cities.
- Per Capita Crime Rateis 206.6 cases per lakh population.
- 24.2% of reported cases processed till date

- 16,657 cases registered specifically as “cheating by personation using computer resources
- Predominant motivation driving digital crime, specifically via sophisticated fake investment scams, remote job traps, and “digital arrests”
- Multi-layered money laundering rackets utilize local mule accounts to instantly siphon proceeds across multiple state borders
Other state and its contribution in Crime Rates
- Telangana tops state rankings with 27,230 cases. Karnataka ranks second nationwide with 21,993 cases, primarily concentrated in Bengaluru.
- Mumbai holds the second highest urban cases with 4,939, followed by Hyderabad at 4,009.
- In contrast to Bengaluru’s high numbers, New Delhi saw its digital offences drop to 404 cases. Kolkata recorded the lowest total with just 21 cases.
